Learning is hope

 It's Monday morning, 6:00 A.M. and your alarms goes up. You get up and have to go through another week of school. Most of us don't like it, wish we could stay home and get some more sleep. But, have ever viewed waking up school in a different perspective.  We GET to wake up and GET to go to school.  Many people around the world do not even have the ability to go to school, or they are like Ahmed, where there are many barriers he faces to attend school and even is often separated from his family or homeland too. However, for Ahmed this education acts as a beacon of hope in being surrounded with such a bleak and dim environment.  You see, in many of these places where Ahmed learns, the eduction materials is often limited or very bad.  It was so bad they were rationing crayons to two per person and some people got a white crayon, which is basically useless.  However through all this Ahmed's determination and passion prevails moving to wherever the education i...

The movie or book?

 I'm sure you have heard the question, "did you like the movie or the book more?"  Afterall a lot of books are turned into movies.  Look at harry potter, lord of the rings, and even one that we read, The Great Gatsby.  Each one of these movies differ from book slightly by the medium they are being told from. The different formats can offer storytelling formats unique to the pieces.  Today we will be looking into The swimmers and The Best We Could Do to highlight the differences and how it creates a similar theme.      To begin, in the movie swimmers, being portrayed in a movie format allow for are more in depth experience of the use of visuals.
